My Story
My name is Emma, and I live in the beautiful Peak District National Park, UK.

My goal is to entertain and inform my lovely site users of interesting and curious animal scientific news from all over the world. Along the way, there will also be a few other scientific news stories which have caught my attention.

A little about myself. I’m a mature student who restarted my university studies in my 40s. I previously worked for many years within ecological companies as a Personal Assistant and Researcher. My passions are for mammals, rewilding, both our British Isles as well as in other countries, and I have a penchant for giant tortoises and octopuses. I have a master’s in Wildlife Conservation from the University of Salford and a masters in Science Communication from the University of the West of England (UWE). During my Wildlife Conservation masters, I discovered my love of writing science news for the public in a way that hopefully takes the mystery out of what can sometimes be some rather dry scientific research.

My rovering reporters are my beautiful dogs, who have been a constant source of love and support. It is my love of them that has given me the desire to pursue my goals.
